It can well be said that pretty much any and all utility customers are able to take advantage of California solar incentives. Solar energy production creates a number of green jobs for those working in the service industry.

The California Solar Incentive program provides for plenty of reason to get into the production area of the industry, especially considering they have the ability to buy Solar Renewable Energy Credits, or SREC, and if their facility can produce 500 MW of energy or more, they will have access to the feed-in tariffs.

The California Solar Incentive program has provided more than enough reason to get in on the production side of the power industry, and of course purchase Solar Renewable Energy Credits, which are also referred to as SREC. Assuming that a facility can produce 500MW of energy, they will be provided access to these feed-in tariffs.

These California solar power incentives are intended to develop as much as 3,000 megawatts of electricity from renewable sources by the year 2016. This will cost California 2.8 billion dollars but there are hopes that they will bring the state to a point where they will be producing around 30% of energy from renewable sources.

Along with that the federal government's tax incentives are often as large as 50% for the cost of installing a California solar power system. The way the program is designed, those who take advantage of these incentives first will be the ones who benefit the most with them dropping off over the course of 9 years.

Through property tax contributions, homeowners will be able to take advantage of a twenty-year plan which will pay for the new solar power system.

The only real downside of course is that this financed amount will collect interest over time. Luckily the money saved will help to pay off that cost.

There are many communities determining whether or not they want to take part in the California solar power initiative, but Solano Beach is leaps and bounds ahead. With the sale of bonds an the resulting financing, the city will not have any issues with debt.

If you want more information, feel free to have a look at the Center for Sustainable Energy California's website and see just what the program has to offer you. Solar panel prices are better than they have ever been, and this might just be the best time to start utilizing solar power.
