At this time there are way more than one million species that are in danger of dying out thanks to changes in the climate, acidity in the ocean, and vanishing habitats.
All these facts begin to add up after awhile and point at the inevitable conclusion that whether we want to face it or not, this is factually what's happening to our planet. If it's a cyclical thing or human caused phenomenon, to bury our head in the sand and pretend that nothing is occurring is irresponsible.
There are a lot of skeptics who say that global temperature increases is a myth or a hoax. They say that facts were skewed and outright falsified. I need to admit that I am fairly interested in what purpose it would serve to lie about something like this. I've seen in my life that things with our world are changing. Just from the sheer expansion in the business and residential communities, trees and forests are coming down at a shocking rate.
I think the other big thing would have to be that if the people who believe that global warming is real and are wrong, we will have a cleaner planet. If the people that think that it is a con and a hoax are wrong and we ignore it, then we would be unready for a disaster of any sort. To me it just sort of is perfectly reasonable to err on the side of caution when coping with major catastrophes.
