Renewable resources are important for the future for a list of reasons. Energy is now costing people far more and we are in a situation where we have a dependency on regimes which are politically unstable to fulfill the requirements that we have. It also takes too much time and is an untidy process.

This can be achieved utilizing better ways and this applies to renewable sources. There are many which exist under this particular category but for many economic and political reasons they remain underused. They include geothermal energy and solar power both sources which seem to have an almost unlimited supply of power.

There is also the use of wind power and harnessing the sea which are used effectively but on a small scale in certain parts of the world. They are important for a range of reasons, the most obvious being that other sources are running out. Not only that but they're difficult to extract and lead to a lot of pollution harming the planet.

It should also be noted that cost is a factor in this regard. Energy prices have soared to higher than ever imagined and most oil is transported from the troubled Middle East and the sources of natural gas upon which many of us depend are taken from unstable countries in other parts of the world.

Developing more renewable sources and making them effective and affordable will allow people to be free of dependence on rogue states and will also mean that they have access to cleaner and potentially cheaper sources of energy which will be able to last far longer than our current options.

This will require far more research to be done on ways of making them more viable for the masses but as long as they exist as potential avenues they are definitely worthy of exploring and may change how we live in the future.
